Joyce, I love how you just worked with what you had--the tortillas look great and the radishes weren't totally necessary to the salad!KB from Prof Who Cookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05948735277033941781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007606757635968459.post-13654963030955362016-06-04T19:28:27.487+08:002016-06-04T19:28:27.487+08:00Simple and very delicious..a perfect summer salad....Simple and very delicious..a perfect summer salad.Angie's Recipeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14978978261098754954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007606757635968459.post-928836007178357842016-06-04T13:24:08.989+08:002016-06-04T13:24:08.989+08:00I'm going to have to look up Nigella's ver...I'm going to have to look up Nigella's version, though I really, really like this one. I used za'atar in place of the sumac, but otherwise followed the recipe. I like your substitution - toasted tortillas are a great choice for this salad.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007606757635968459.post-60996145984475125182016-06-04T10:02:09.347+08:002016-06-04T10:02:09.347+08:00I will look at NL's Fattoush after I made this...I will look at NL's Fattoush after I made this comment. It's always fun to compare chefs/cooks dueling recipes, so to speak. Ottolenghi makes a Baby spinach salad with dates and almonds which Eileen turned me on to years ago. It also uses sumac and pita bread pieces so I knew I would like this salad as well. Glad you liked the Chicken Lady Chicken as it's encouraged me to make it this week-end. I'm not sure if I have ever had Fattoush, per se, but I have had many Middle Eastern salads prepared for me and like you say, some include mustard and others do not. I have no preference when it comes to the mustard, lol...

Thank you so much for sharing, Joyce...~~louise~~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07335196139849995706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5007606757635968459.post-76963204075257560132016-06-04T06:24:46.619+08:002016-06-04T06:24:46.619+08:00The DL and NL comparisons are informative.
